This video describes what to do when you have forgotten your password. It also explains how to change your password and correct typos on the name on your profile.
*You may notice that some of the pages that are shown on this video are not up to date. However, the screens and steps relevant to changing your password have not changed.
Start on the Login Page [00:00]
Hello! I’m Cornelius Fichtner, and in this tutorial, I’ll show you how to change your password. It’s really quite simple. It all starts here on our Login page because, in order to change your password, you first have to log in to the system.
If you have Forgotten your Password [00:17]
So use the username and password that our system has sent you early on. To log in, if you’ve forgotten your username or your password, use one of these two links down here to recover either of them. And if that fails, please feel free to write to our support team, and they will be happy to assist you. So let us log in here.
Switch to the My Profile Page [00:39]
After you log in, you reach the Welcome page. But in order to change your password, we have to switch over to the Profile page, which we do up here on the right-hand side by clicking on the orange button and then selecting My Profile at the top. The My Profile page looks very similar to the Welcome page, except there is this popup here that says: Please scroll down to edit your Profile.
Scroll Down and Update the Password [01:04]
So let’s do that. Let’s scroll down. And now, you can immediately see that changing your password is as easy as clicking into the first field and typing or copy-pasting your password into here. And then copy-pasting or typing it into the Confirm Password field.
You can Also Fix Typos in Your Name [01:24]
By the way, this page is also where you would change any typos that you may have seen or noted in your name. I do recommend, however, don’t change your username and don’t change your email address because remember, when you make a purchase, we use your email address as the main identifier to assign your new purchase to the correct account. And of course, if you change the username email or the email address and the other fields there, then our system will have a hard time assigning your new purchase to the correct account. Once you are ready, simply press Submit down here at the bottom.
