Your Exam Simulator offers three modes to take exams and quizzes. First of all, there is a Real Exam mode, and then there are also Timed and Learning Quizzes. This here is The PMP Exam Simulator where we offer in the Real Exam mode nine complete Project Management Professional (PMP)® Exams. It is five complete Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® Exams. If you are taking the CAPM Exam. And then below here, we have the Timed and the Learning Quizzes. That's what we are going to start right now.
The most important thing to realize is that no matter whether you're taking one of the nine complete exams here in the PMP, or you are taking a timed or a learning quiz, the Simulator uses these same question pool for both. So there are 1,800 questions here in this particular Simulator.
Quiz Modes [00:56]
We have the Timed and the Learning Quiz option here at the top. The difference really is such that the Timed Quiz is exactly like the real PMP Exam, but you can select what type of questions you want. There is really no difference.
And with the Learning Quiz, this is the one we want to do right now. That is an option that allows you to show a hint and the answer as you go through it, and there is also no time pressure. You have quite a number of criteria here that you can select. The number of questions is of course, self-explanatory, I'm going to select 20 here. Then we can choose which criteria we want. You can either choose at random or by knowledge area or by domain. This is very much dependent on the exam that you are taking.
For example, for the CAPM, you can also select by PMBOK® Guide chapter number. Let us choose here for domain, just "Initiating" domain. And then we can also select whether or not we want to include all questions, only unanswered questions, or only questions that I previously answered incorrectly. Obviously, the last one is only available. If you have at least one question that you have previously answered incorrectly. I'm just going to select all of them here.
Start Quiz [02:19]
So let us start this exam right here, this quiz right here. And now there are two more buttons, two additional buttons that show up that is really the only difference here between this mode and the Real Exam mode. There is the “Show Hint” button. I can click that. Then now, a hint shows up. The keyword here is analyzing. Use this word and then compare your options. So it tries to give you a hint as to how to figure out the correct answer. And if that doesn't help you, well, then click on show answer. And now the answer shows up, and now you know that the correct answer is C. There's an explanation. And there is also a reference.
The rest is exactly the same as with the Real Exam mode, except you may notice that there is no countdown clock at the top left.
