This article describes how to download the PrepCast videos into your laptop or mobile device:

Use a Podcast Application

In order to download the content, you need a Podcast Application on your computer/laptop/device.
If you do not have one on your laptop/mobile, select and install a podcast application.

  • We recommend either Podcast Addict or Pocket Casts for Android.
  • Apple iOS has an official Apple Podcast app
  • iTunes is available for Windows.

As there are so many applications available that are ever-changing. We only provide instructions for these applications. (Podcast Addict, Apple Podcast app, and iTunes).

General Approach

Every application is different, but all have the same approach:

  • First, copy your personal RSS URL
  • Select "subscribe to podcast" in your app
  • Paste our personal RSS URL and tap OK.

Some applications offer an option for  "one-click" subscriptions for podcasts, which can add your subscription automatically after one click. If that doesn't work, then you have to subscribe manually. 

Some applications allow you to download content all at once. Other applications require users to select which lessons/episodes to download, so you cannot download them all at once.

 

Notes about other applications:

  • Google Podcasts has a timeout at about 20 seconds and does not complete the subscription/load for large RSS downloads, so you may get an error if you try to download all episodes or multiple "large" files.

Personal RSS URL

To download the content, you need your personal RSS URL that is contained in the email that was sent to you with the Subject heading, "Thank you for your order..." If you can't find your RSS URL for this video, please send an email to support@pm-prepcast.com

 

Detailed Download Steps

Podcast App For Mac or IOS devices

  1. Launch the Apple podcast application.
  2. Select Library. 
  3. In the upper right corner, select Add a show by URL.
  4. Type or Copy/paste your personal podcast RSS URL.
  5. Then select, Search.
  6. Ensure that the app is set to download the videos. Look for either a checkmark or a down arrow on the top panel (right side) of your screen. If it shows a down arrow, select it and select Turn on Automatic Downloads.
  7. The videos should begin downloading, so you should be all set!

Using Podcast Addict

  1. Launch the Podcast Addict application.
  2. On the top panel, select the "(+)" sign.
  3. Then select the Search icon (magnifying lens).
  4. Type or Copy/paste your personal podcast RSS URL.
  5. Select Add.
  6. Then select the PrepCast product you just added.
  7. On the upper-right-hand corner of the screen, select the 3 dots.
  8. Then select Download Unplayed.
  9. The videos should begin downloading, so you should be all set!

Using iTunes

  1. Launch the iTunes application.
  2. Select the "File" Menu in the upper-left corner of the screen.
  3. If you can't find the "File" menu, it simply means that your "Menu Bar" is hidden. There should be a small square on the upper left portion of your iTunes. This small square has a black-and-white shade and a drop-down arrow. Select the drop-down arrow and select "Show Menu Bar" to display the"File" menu.
  4. From the File menu, choose Subscribe to Podcast.
  5. In the box that appears, type or copy/paste your personal podcast RSS URL.
  6. Click on the OK button.
  7. The videos should begin downloading, so you should be all set!
